Are all 4 wheels identical, or do the rears have a different width/off-set?

I have 17" wheels with 225/45/17 and wanted to change the rear ones to 255/40/17...is it OK if I just change the rear tires to 255 on same wheel, or will they be too wide and will need a wider wheel?

did you end up doing this? You may have to run some stretch like 225/35 up front and 255/30 in rear. I'm not sure 235/35 and 265/30 will fit without rubbing

I just bought a 2006 325xi (wagon) and curious if these used wheels/tire set up will work. Miro 111: 19x9.5" Hankook V12 255/40/19. I would like to run a square set up as I come from the world of Audi and am afraid of blowing out my Tcase. Yes, I've read here that everyone says staggered is ok. The seller of the wheels says the 9.5 front is to wide. Any insight would be helpful.
