BMW Blocks Hydrant
Here's something very stupid to do with your BMW or for that matter any vehicles.
https://autos.yahoo.com/news/bmw-blo...150053579.html The owner is lucky the firefighters didn't attach a hook and drag the car away from the hydrant! |

Yeah, I'd say the guy got off easy if that is all they did. Could have done way worse. And the owner probably deserved way worse.

Probably wont get a ticket either. My guess is the cops will figure the driver was already punished enough.
From what I saw, the car was dragged away from the curb for installation of the hose. But it looks like there were too many cars around it and the road was too narrow to drag it completely out of the way in a fast manner.

AS I stated in another thread on this; ZERO SYMPATHY for this d!ck!! Feeling like you are so important as to put your car in a place that prevents those trying to save lives from doing their jobs warrants any and all violations they choose to inflict upon it.

According to what I read, the majority of the damage is from 2" of water inside the car from the hose. Which likely means water sprayed behind the dash, and into a bundle of electronics.
Two windows might be a bargain if the 2" of water statement I read was true. |

I would have been more pleased if it was 12" instead of 2".

Hopefully you don't end up in a situation like this where some douche decides to block a hydrant and prevent the firemen from saving your dumb ass.

Why not break one window and then open the doors? Hose would be straighter too.

Hindsight is always 20/20. In the moment they will do whatever it takes to get water on the fire the fastest. They may not know how to unlock and open the doors. They do know how to smash the windows though.

The only reason this made the news because the car was a BMW. Look at some of the comments the losers reading the article are leaving.
"BMW or Mercedes is actually a horrible investment; those with money and brains know this and don't buy them. We put our money in smarter "vehicles" The girl that wrote that probably drives her Prius in the left lane doing 65 mph. |

Honestly it's things like this that put a bad image on the entire brand and those that own bimmers.
Makes me sad how one can misrepresent many. |
