Insurance
My car insurance is due for renewal, so i have been shopping around on comparison websites. The cheapest quote i found was £1150 fully comprehensive and when looking at my age, that is considered very cheap.
Here's the deal though, i forgot to declare an accident i was involved in which was NOT my fault and was settled very smoothly without claiming on my own insurance. So i go back and type in the details and what do you know? Cheapest quote ends up being £2350. How fucking ridiculous is that? |

I had to declare 3 none fault claims for a couple of years. I got battered for insurance for a while.
Apparently people that have been involved in a non fault accident are statistically more likely to have a fault accident. They insure against the risk so your premium goes up. I would try the specialists to see if they can give you a more reasonable quote. |

Fucking thieving cunt buckets. Can't wait for these cocksuckers to get controlled by the govt!....fucking bullshit with their no claims discount and named driver post code bollocks.
I would encourage everyone to trick them if they know they can't get caught. Increased premium bollocks! They gona increase it anyway! |

Thing is, i can easily just not declare it and save my self £1200. But won't they verify that information on their database? Or is that only in an event of a claim? Really hate this fucking insurance system, so inconsistent.

They won't verify the info you provide until/unless you make a claim. In the event of a claim absolutely everything will be scrutinised.
If you have provided false information then be prepared to be told you won't be paid out. |

I've just renewed my insurance, it's double in price since last year.
I'm 27, 10 years no claims and an MS60 from over 3 years ago yet I'm paying just over a £1000, I can't get over how expensive it is. I'm only driving a 57 320d m sport. I can actually insure a Z4M coupe for £700 which suggests that there may be a lot of claims involving 320d's. |

The car does play a part also . I insure my wrx sti prodrive for £290 fully comp , that's me and the missus I'm 34 with 13 years ncd and she only pasted her test 3 year ago this year . Yet her 318 d m sport thats in her name for insurance but I'm named on her's is £350 fully comp with 4 year's ncd cause she insured a car when she was learning.
Postcode's also do it . I'm 4 streets away from my parent's house . If I use that postcode doing quote's the price's are around £60-80 cheaper . |

I had this, none fault claim putting up my insurance. It put it up about £70 a year for 5 years (that's how long you have to declare it for) and if that wasn't a kick enough it also put my girlfriends up because I'm on her insurance. For what was £300 worth of damage has ended up costing me more out of my own pocket in insurance increases! When I asked why when it was a none fault claim, their response was 'stats show people who have none fault accidents are more likely to be involved in fault accidents' what a set of jokers

Get insured with eelephant guys, they are part of Admiral iirc
They only ask for claims on the past 3 years as opposed to 5 And they were the only guys to insure my E46 as my first car and now my E90 |

Insurance always fascinates me. Firstly one thing that I'm nit a fan off are these claim management companies, personally if I'm right I'd class their game plan in the same costa gory as a flock of vultures. It might look like they're doing a claimant a favour but with their commission on the success if a claim everyone else will pay.
I was with Admiral(been with them for 3 years got a decent quote for my old 330d then when I swapped over to the 335 I just wanted things simple so the switch over money wide wasn't too painful) in March this year my premium shot up calling therm got £55 off while I was on the phone I done a GoCompare and gave the lady the results of the search I'd done while talking to her and as a current client the £55 off was the best they'd do for me so spoke to a supervisor who was about as useful to me as a canoe in the desert with a 6ft hole in the bottom. The GoCompare quote was another £74 cheaper then the £55 they'd shaved off. Needless to say I called a few others including Hastings when I told them I'd got GoCompare on the screen and I was looking to do a deal hey couldn't of been mote helpful and I saved a decent figure compared with Admiral. Loyalty on the day as I discovered counted for nothing conquest business is what it's all about but retaining customers is surely more important than simply letting them walk away, they can clearly do something as shown by GoCompare but are just not willing to bend to keep a loyal customer onboard. |

Tbh, this has really put me off insuring the car. I feel really cheesed off and cannot fathom to pay over a thousand quid extra over an accident which i had absolutely no fault in. So some idiot hits me in the rear and now statistically i'm more likely to be involved in an accident where i'm at fault? bollocks.
And to put the icing on the cake, it's more expensive than what i paid last year even though now i'm supposed to have a NCD to my name. Sigh.. |

When a little old lady crashed into me, even though I her insurance company contacted me within a hour to arrange repair/hire car I was told by law I had to inform my insurance company.....But am not sure what that would double your premium??!! Been over 30 am a old git so it actually made no impact on my renewal...£600 fully comp with all mods covered like for like |
