2015 335d Wagon xDrive gets 309hp/465tq
I love how the article starts...
"We've got a BMW 335d Touring (wagon) coming in... probably the best car in the world... write a few words?" I agree with the basic idea. Is there a better car (for me)? Nope. Effective all wheel drive, 0-60 in under 5 seconds in stock form, and in UK MPG, about 50mpg highway. Oh, and it gets the beloved 8-spd, which for our short RPM range makes all the difference. My wife's X1 has the 8-spd and it is absolutely brilliant. Throw the kids and the pups in back and think about all of the BMW Performance mods you're going to do while the tune and meth kit push your wagon beyond 400hp Had to share this. |

I was just behind an Estoril blue 328d wagon (xdrive) here in Toronto on Carlaw Ave heading south towards Danforth. I've never been a wagon fan but that car looked sweet.

Wagons/hatchbacks are always a win in my books.

If it is announced to come to the states, I'll be first in line at the dealership for ED.

This. I don't think there will be a 6-cylinder diesel 3er in the US ever again. For a 335d WAGON, the odds are less than zero. I'd say 1-2% likelyhood that we'd see the N57 in an X3, but that possibility aside, it's going to be 5/X5/7 only.

The other factor is that Audi and Mercedes are taking diesel pretty seriously and BMW likes to stand out where it can. If the A4 and 300 series Mercedes are offered in diesel (but not hot rod diesel), BMW just might take the plunge. As for the X3, I think there's less of a chance for the X3 to come equipped with the N57... The 3er is sporty and has basically every variant out there (except the 4 series took the 2 door options). Another performance diesel would be possible. I am hopeful that 2016/2017 we will see this very car released in NA market. The 328d sells very well and the car mags rave about it. And it sort of sucks. Just imagine the 335d wagon's popularity with car people, young and old. It very well might be the best car on the planet. If an optioned xdrive wagon was over $55k I might have a hard time resisting an M3, but even still. |

My 328d MSport wagon has a 55k sticker. It has most options, but ALL options would put it near 60k. That is pretty insane for a 4pot, 180hp wagon. I love the car, but I fully understand why they are not very popular in America. I got a really REALLY good deal so I was able to justify it....but most people would spend $55k much differently. I got a really good deal since the 328d is NOT selling well...
There is exactly 1 AWD turbodiesel wagon available in America, the 328d x-drive. I got 47mpg highway on my last road trip Quote:
