Sport package on Xdrive a must???
Found e90 that I like, great price. Seller motivated to sell, mAintenance always done at dealership.
Has all the options (xenon, satellite, premium pack, etc.) but no sport package. I've done my research and know only difference is rims and seats. What do you think? |

Sport package for xdrive models changes the rims (tho depending on model not as aggressive rims), sport seats and sport steering wheel.
Basically everything except the sports suspension. |

Oil cooler is not really a big deal unless you plan on tracking the car or you drive like the four horseman of the apocalypse are on your ass. The E92 comes with the sports steering wheel standard. You can also have sports seats and shadow line trim (another sports package option) without the sports package.

You also get all the aesthetic changes that come with the package. IMHO the seats alone are worth the premium. Non-sport seats are teh suk!

you also get shadowline trim. its the biggest rip off from bmw for us AWD guys. i would have loved a 10mm lower suspension as well. all because people need the clearance to put chains on..

Not accurate. I have a 2011 335i M-Sport xDrive Coupe and no Oil Cooler. I even have the 18in wheel and summer tire package. Search some of my threads - BMW did not install Oil Coolers on all xDrives even if they are M-Sport.

That being said, it should have come with an oil cooler. My understanding is all xDrive M-Sport Coupes which also had the S840 High Speed and 18in Wheels w/ Summer Tire upgrades should have had the oil cooler. But in April of 2011 it appears they had two "Sport Packages" in their system and they were phasing out the old Sport Package. From what I researched (and someone on the forums actually sued BMW about this issue but lost) was there was a glitch in their system and it wouldn't allow you to order the new M-Sport Package and the S840 High Speed package - thus unable to get the Oil Cooler. BMW then fixed the issue under and brushed it under the covers. BMW only admitted to me that "Oil Coolers were not available for M-Sport xDrive Vehicles for my month". Blah blah - I was so angry. Worse of all I had an oil cooler on my 2007 !!!

I have 2009 E90 with shadowline trim but not the sports pkg... I haven't driven one with sports pkg so I can't speak to it, but after almost owning it for 2 years, I'm still happy as a lark

IMO the sport seats and M steering wheel are the best part of my car.
