Don't even bother with your summer tires in the mess that is outside.
On a lighter note, My Blizzaks just got me out of a pit of snow no problems!!!

Mine 330i 159 w/ all seasons couldn't get out of the driveway backwards. I am sure I need to clean my driveway a bit more but I will definitely get snow tires next winter! I'm thinking about buying new set of wheels for summer/fall and use my 159's for a winter setup..

This is the first year i have bought snow tires, and let me tell you how disheartening it was to see no snow for so much of the winter. I still really haven't tried them out. Hopefully after this storm ill get my shot!

we're almost up to 20 inches here on long island.
Ah my poor baby is sitting on the lot covered in 20 inches of snow. I do not understand how they can possibly make tomorrow a clean delivery. At the very least the carpet mats will take a beating. I think im going to hold off until wednesday when things have calmed down a bit and then request that they give it a nice waxing right after the car wash. Then I'll wash it myself when the snow melts. |

Wait
No xi? I'd wait. I picked up my car and it was clean overnight...then we got snow! I did take a pic on impulse with the cell phone in the AM in the driveway as I knew that it would be a mess by the time I got to work. I always wondered how they can have cars in those commercials driving out in the woods with absolutely no snow on them at all! Finally I got a pic of my car in that situation.. see what ya think (pic in the "garage").
I read in a magazine that the BMW commercial with the snowball throwing kids was shot in California with fake snow. |

So i asked my dealer if he could wax the car and he said sure, but he said that the dealership also offers this other alternative to waxing system, I dont remember exactly, but he said it was a process created by Dupont-something about teflon. Anyway they put it on your car and your car is guaranteed to resist any particle matter for up to 5 years. Nothing will stick to the surface of your car. anyone ever hear about this/ have it done? Sounded too odd so I turned him down. Plus i'm only leasing the vehicle for 3 years so not worth it.
