Fuel injectors

What are peoples thoughts on DIY for fuel injectors? Easy to do or should I let dealer do it?

If you do that, does it mean after re-installation they don't need to be re-coded (if that's the right expression)?

I have been told that if you install your newly rebuilt existing injectors then you do not need to re-code but if you replace then you will have to re-code the injectors to the DME.

no. the seals and the valve wear down and get dirty over time. people rebuild them so that the spray is more fine and combustion is better... no coding is ever necessary if you replace them with the same size

Is it ever actually necessary for coding if replacing injectors on an N52, isn't it just for the N54/55 (and most likely N53) direct injection motors?
