Are you catless? Could be your turbo seals

Burning a lot of oil lately?

My car had similar issues, occasional smoke on start up then it became more regular, oil consumption was off the charts (one quart in less than a month). It was the turbos.

But at 41k? Are you the first owner?

It's normal if your fully catless, while warming up. If your still smoking 15 minutes down the road then you have a problem AKA turbo seals

Turbo are failing! I'm in the exact same boat as of now and I'm just waiting until next month, hopefully by that time I will have my funds up in order to upgrade to the VTT stage 2's!!!

If you have not changed your spark plugs after installing jb4 , you could be currently not burning all the fuel . Extra fuel not burned would amount to the catalytic converter having to work harder to convert it. When cold, extra fuel can't be converted fast enough . When the catalytic converter is hot and at operating temp, you may not see any smoke. If you want to know at what point the catalytic converter is warm, then listen for your exhaust valve opening in the second muffler. The computer puts extra fuel out on start, warms the engine and catalytic converter and then opens the muffler valve shortly thereafter.
Hope that helps calm a bit of nerves about blown turbos so fast after install.

I had this problem on my s2000, don't know how much it helps, but it was the valve seals.
