Quick question regarding M3 steering wheel on 330d

Hi ive just bought an m3 steering wheel with dct paddles complete with steering column and stalks

Many just swap steering wheels over and thats it but seeing as i have the complete stalk and column would i benefit in anyway putting the complete m3 wheel and column / stalks right onto my e93 330d?

Reason i ask is donor car only done 12k miles and mines on 80 now so maybe m3 column will be better if mines seen more life? Not entirely sure what steering columns do etc

I know ill have to use my standard MF buttons thats not a problem

Any help is appreciated.

This is how it is now

According to RealOEM the M3 column is a completely different part number.

Sorry don't know. Might be worth doing an internet search. Have a feeling I read about a guy on one of the US BMW forums who put an M3 rack in a 335i...

the M3 will have a different steering rack, hence the different column, i would just fit the wheel to your existing column, 80k isn't going to put any appreciable wear on the column.
