335d re-map. Wow!
Car had re-map done this afternoon. Well impressed with the results, the car is now seriously quick. It is more responsive throughout the whole rev. range and the torque is now pretty mind blowing - pushed back into the seat type mind blowing
Overall very pleased with the results. Many thanks to Simon from E-Maps who is a professional and a gentleman. It was nice to meet him and we had a good chat throughout the afternoon. I also learned alot about my engine. |

Amazing difference isnt it - Simons a nice chap as well, really knows his stuff, now watch that orange light constantly flickering on in this weather. I drive mine with the DTC off now, as I find it much easier to throttle adjust the car - It doesnt feel as heavy as it used to eh??

I didn't realise you were getting remapped Helen... glad you are happy and can now out-perform Carlos Will this seriously affect fuel economy or have any other side effects?

Good one Helen! Glad it's giving you so much extra pleasure. You might find it gets quicker over the next couple hundred miles, as the ECU keeps adapting to the new power. Good luck to your driving licence too!!!

You will find fuel economy is better, and the car is instantly better - no settling in period, not like a petrol which will re-learn it value's over a few hundred miles

No, Im surprised Simon didnt tell you that, with diesel re-maps it is instant, obviously as the engine loosens up with age it will get faster, but all engines do that!!

Really Oli? That's good for you diesel lot then - us petrol lot have to run the new program in so the ECU adapts to the new fuelling and boost requirements, so for instance on James' car the difference between 2 miles and 50 miles after remap was huuuuuge... and will probably get better over the next 200 miles or so

Get ready for a barrage of questions from the Fandango Helen,he'll want to know everything from 0-60 times, increase in BHP and Torque Etc. Disregard the ones about waist and bust measurements though. |

No he did not remove the top speed governor. No dyno run at all - he did the re-map on site at my house. |
