Help for a newbie retrofit related question
Hi guys, easy question for the experts but after lots of searching ive just confused myself further, my missus said I said combox in my sleep last night so I've decided to ask the experts, anyway...
I bought a 2007 325i with idrive from my research the car year should have the version which has a DVD drive below the CD compartment, when I bought it the guy said a previous owner has updated to the HDD version with the update/upload USB in the glovebox. Basically I want to be able to stream audio through Bluetooth or at least be able to plug my iPhone into a USB in the armrest ( I believe that requires a combox???) I use spotify for music so don't know if this allows but I'm looking to have the music information on the screen and be able to skip tracks with the car buttons. Anyway what I'm basically looking for is someone to tell me what I currently have and what I need to do to enable this feature ( if there is a aftermarket part I can use to enable this rather than a "retrofit" I'm open to suggestions too. Hope this makes sense I've taken some pictures to show what I currently have the forum uploading feature crashed my browser so I've used a site to upload them. Cheers for any info guys! https://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/Z9Oc https://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/Z9OD https://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/Z9OE |

There is an idrive subforum here
There is an idrive subforum here
http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=122 For streaming I think you have to have the combox option or a NBT retrofit as described in the idrive section . I think there are some combox descriptions here. The older version of idrive require a Mulf module for USB. called the 6fl option. I would talk to this guy. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=704363 There are some non BMW solutions to if you have the right options Last edited by ctuna; 06-30-2015 at 01:37 PM.. |
