http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1047140 They don't mention shipping, but that ended up costing me about $300 in total for the overnight shipping there and back. Just be ready to have your DDE held up in customs. Now, as far as the exhaust pricing goes, that's totally left up to my buddy JS to decide. He did all of the welding, which is the most difficult part of this entire project. Well, besides removing the damn engine mount and reaming the wastegate. I'm sure that the downpipe would end up costing less than what's currently available in the market. But again, that's not really for me to decide. I'm like Gearhead, I'm not trying to start a business. I'm a full-time mechanical engineer for a certain tractor company. I went into this project as solely a fun DIY venture. And it certainly was...except for the engine mount removal and wastegate reaming haha |

Sour335D,
Where did you get the 3" flange that is shown in 2nd pic of post #1? Is it the OEM exhaust's forward flange? Doesn't look like it... looks after market. |

It is an aftermarket Vibrant 3" stainless flange. I ordered it from Summit Racing. It welded up just fine, and has given me zero issues since the install over 1,000 miles ago now. Here's the link for the flange: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/vpe-1473s/overview/ |

Thanks SourD,
I had looked at this one but the bolt dimension of 4.15 was a little shorter than the 4.28" that my downpipe has. I guess with the size of screws. You are okay. My flanges are coming from Columbia River Mandrel Bending in Oregon. |

It's kinda funny, I took so much care to get the bolt hole locations correct when I made my downpipe jig (distance and angle -wise). However, once I decided to go all the way with the full exhaust build that became irrelevant as I was able to just buy two of the same flange to mate at that location. |
