What the....huh? WHAT IS THIS?

Hey guys, over at Bimmerfest this came up:

I just had new (OEM Pirelli PZero Run Flat) tires installed an also alignment done yesterday on my 2011 328i (Sedan w Sport/Prem) and the spec sheet (BMW Kinematics Diagnostics Report, to be exact) showed that all was in spec except "Design Condition".

As measured in mm, the LF, RF, LR and RR were all out of spec. In spec was approx 595 +/-2. And Actual was 575-580 across all four tires, so about 15-20mm out of spec.

Anyone have any idea what this measures and if it's important? I have heard ride height, but I haven't lowered my car. I bought it as a CPO, so can't vouch for the prior owner.

Yeah! What is Design Condition??????

Is measure for ride height. They measure the ride height > wheel lip to fender and factor in the suspension type > sport or regular and compensate for the amount of fuel and factory equipment > navigation, sunroof, cd charger, power leather seats and eft. More equipment heavier the car.
If what I'm saying is true, not set in stone of course there could be few explanations:
-the tech miscalculated
- the tech though is regular and you have sport suspension
- not all tires in the same size are the same size > just like shoes
-previous owner replaced the springs
-car has sagged from wear which I find normal
- I don't know what I' talking about

Either way is you car rides fine, tracks straight and is not wearing out the tires I would not worry about it much.

Almost jives:

Ride height is measured from the top of the wheel well fender flange to the bottom of the wheel rim.

Front Stock Values:

16" wheel -- 22.99 in -- 584 mm
17" wheel -- 23.58 in -- 599 mm
18" wheel -- 24.09 in -- 612 mm
19" wheel -- 24.60 in -- 625 mm

Rear Stock Values:

16" wheel -- 22.24 in -- 565 mm
17" wheel -- 22.83 in -- 580 mm
18" wheel -- 23.35 in -- 593 mm
19" wheel -- 23.82 in -- 605 mm

595 mm doesn't correspond as fronts are diff than rears and there's nothing near that in front if rear's at that measure. Sumpthin's off here!

I'd be amazed if they spec'd ride height to +/- 2mm, given how far off some even new cars are and you can see that visually. Would be interested to hear what this really is one way or another, I've never heard the term before.
