Will 245/35/18 work on 18x8 rim offset: 24

Long story short my summer rims are done; have 18x8 on all four corners for my e92 335i with sports package; saw someone running 245/50/18 on their 7 series on the same rims i am using, want to know if i can get away with have 245/35/18 or 245/40/18 on these low offset (24) 18x8 rims.
