No More Rubbing w/ Continental DW tires

I have been running 265/30/19 Michelin PSS tires on the rear of my 19x10 ET25 BBS LM wheels for about 5 months now. From the start, the rears would rub on even small bumps. I already had my fenders rolled but took them in for another round. This helped but I would still rub on bumps that I definitely shouldn't have.

As my PSS's began to wear down, I began my search for a tire that wouldn't rub. I didn't want to sacrifice much in terms of performance and I didn't want to drop down to a 255 width. During my search I found exactly what I was looking for in this thread.

http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-t...wered-3is.html

I had my Continental DW's in 265/30/19 installed yesterday and haven't rubbed once since. It is no secret that Michelin PSS run wider than most and the shoulder is more square opposed to some tires that are more rounded. The PSS did offer protection to the edge of the wheels as the Continental DW's are slightly stretched.

I cannot comment on performance yet due to the 500 mile break in that they recommend but if they perform at 90% of what the PSS did I will be happy. I hope this helps some of you who are in the same boat I was in.

Hmm...interesting how the Lexus poster noticed that the 255 and 265 PSS were the same width.

I thought that was strange too. That thread couldn't have been more helpful.

I have 19X10 ET25 with PSS 255 and I rub here and there, but if I have people in the car, even the smallest imperfection in the road will make it rub

I have -2.2 camber in the rear, which is standard on the 335i.
