I can confirm what OP is referring to. When I first installed DWs on the rear, it was squirmy when driving at highway speeds. I literally felt unsafe driving above 50mph. That feeling went away after 2-3k miles. Although it may be a break-in issue, I have a hard time accepting a 2-3k miles break-in period.

2-3k mile break in? That's insane.

Well the wrong tires were ordered and I now have NT555s on. However, I can safely drive the car now. I can actually take turns at highway speeds so there was clearly something wrong with the Contis as the NT555s are supposed to be a lesser tire.

I had the same problems with my DWs when I first installed them too.
I don't understand why many of us thought the DWs made our cars feel unsafe at highway speeds (when new) and others thought they were ok. Different tire pressures? Manufacturing differences? |

Well this was my third set and first set that felt like this. I couldn't take highway turns that minivans were taking without feeling like I would lose control. Holding a steady turn the tires felt as if they were folding over themselves causing the rear to bounce.
