I can confirm what OP is referring to. When I first installed DWs on the rear, it was squirmy when driving at highway speeds. I literally felt unsafe driving above 50mph. That feeling went away after 2-3k miles. Although it may be a break-in issue, I have a hard time accepting a 2-3k miles break-in period.

Agree, im over 1500 now waiting for replacements and nothing has changed, may even be worse.

Well the wrong tires were ordered and I now have NT555s on. However, I can safely drive the car now. I can actually take turns at highway speeds so there was clearly something wrong with the Contis as the NT555s are supposed to be a lesser tire.

I had the same problems with my DWs when I first installed them too.

I don't understand why many of us thought the DWs made our cars feel unsafe at highway speeds (when new) and others thought they were ok. Different tire pressures? Manufacturing differences?

Well this was my third set and first set that felt like this. I couldn't take highway turns that minivans were taking without feeling like I would lose control. Holding a steady turn the tires felt as if they were folding over themselves causing the rear to bounce.
