Yeah, I'm a dumbass.
Scratched my Jet Black 335i going over a bumper today. I looked online at products like PaintScratch which have a genuine color match. Am I good to go with something like that? Or should I take this to a shop? Attached a pic. |

Mine is all scratched on the bottom due to the car is too low, for,my driveway and most driveways. I went over with touch up paint...I feel like it will never be worth it to get it done right because it always hits the bottom. But the touch up paint makes it barely noticeable from several feet away.

Our cars are just low and you have to learn the teqniques to driving them. SLOW AND ANGLED. I have the worst drivaway you could imgaine its steep and the entry is litrally a huuge bump. Only way i make it up is backwards and I never scrape. Just gotta be careful lol Its possible if i can do it on msport suspension and an m3 rep you can do it with your stock bumper. Happy Driving. Its all that matters😀

I blame it on the 1940's Era street design..before cars were low. |

OP, how deep are the scratches? I'd probably just fill it up with touch up paint, you'd probably also need to sand it flat as there's probably a lot of material surrounding the scratches. Another option is to get an aero lip to cover the scratch but don't know if that will cause you more problems when driving. I always follow this video when doing touch up

http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 Looks like this: I installed myself. Very easy...just a few bolts and some 3M tape. Mine has been on almost 6 years, no issues. |
