I've had my fair share of coilovers (either AP's or KW V1's), but to be honest I'm getting to the point where I just want an easy solution, so I may go with shocks and springs this time round! On my last BMW (E81 1 series) I had the Bilstein B12 Kit (pro) but it didn't really lower the car - the handling was excellent thought I have to say! I may consider the B12 Sportline kit though, as that is meant to lower slightly more - need to do some research as I know that Birds have a B3 kit too, but unless it lowers the car anymore than the B12 variants, I can't really see me going for it! |

I'm going to order some Atomic CSL reps tomorrow - decided to bite the bullet and move to 19"
I'm going for 19x8.5 ET38 front and 19x9.5 ET33 rear - they are a lovely gloss gunmetal colour, which should look good against the black I know the recommended tyre sizes for these widths are 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear.... will these ensure an equal tyre profile, as I don't want the front tyres looking bigger than the rears, which I find is the case with the stock 18" M Sport rims.... |

Bought the wheels today...
BM Autosport had a couple of sets custom finished in gloss gunmetal rather than the standard satin finish, but the customer let them down. I'd wanted gloss, so couldn't resist buying a set - got a great deal too As said before they are 19x8.5 front & 19x9.5 rear. Need to order some new BMW centre caps & think about tyres once I've got my head around the sizing! |

Ordered some tyres today so the wheels will be fitted on Thursday morning!
Gone for Pirelli P Zero Silver in 225/35/19 front & 255/30/19 rear. Should look decent I hope & fingers crossed they don't rub on the rear!!! |

Thanks, can't wait for Thursday morning to see them on the car!
I'm also finally getting the shadow line trims replaced on Wednesday following the debacle with them since purchasing the car! |

The BMW main dealer had obviously machine polished and/or buffed the paint prior to collection.
Once I got the car home, I noticed a very fine line of paint missing from the trim, all the way from the mirrors to the boot. The missing paint is on the slightly raised profile where the trim meets against the roofline - it looks like its been burned off by a ham fisted approach with the machine polisher!! Its both sides of the car that are affected, so they are getting replaced! |

They look exactly the same as the wheels on mine, same size wheels and tyres any way, so they shouldn't rub.
Mine have never rubbed even when lowered and two adults in the back. Here's a side on view showing the drop |

I think BMW cost price to the dealer is £540. It's costing £120 labour to fit them too! |

I have to say though, it will make a big difference having them replaced as it looks rather cheap at present with the damaged trims! |
