Exclamation Maintenance @ ~70k miles on N54

I'm just about to hit 70,000 miles on my '09 335i..

What should I be looking forward to as far as maintenance, service, etc? What could be done now to avoid catastrophe later?

Thanks all,

-B

Google for Mike Miller's (of Roundel Tech Talk) email address and shoot him a message asking for his Lifetime Maintenance Guide (or whatever it's called now). He'll know what you mean.

It's got a wealth of info about lots of modern BMWs. Other than that, . This has been covered before and the threads will have more info than the few response you'll get here.

At 70k?

If you have not changed out the power steering fluid, then do that, it should be changed every 50k.

Walnut blast for sure

Run some techtron fuel injector through the gas tank; you should be doing that every 6 months.

Probably change out the brake fluid...

Check you leaks throughly. Most notably:

1) valve cover gadget
2) oil filter housing gasket
3) megatronic sleeve
4) rear main seal
5) o rings from the vanos solenoids
6) o rings from the camshaft sensors

335 may be a bit different than my 325/328 but i had to do nothing until 100K. at 100K there is basically a tune up. i change oil every 7-8K. the car has 120Kmi and no issues whatsoever. e90's are built like tanks for sure. 335's had those issues with turbos, injectors, fuel pumps, etc. so they may require some special treatments.

not to contradict anyone who suggested various maintenance items but just offer my option/experience
