Driver side window doesn't work

Hello,

Controlling my power windows from the driver side no longer works. I can not change mirror position etc as well as if the fuse died. I confirmed the windows still work by holding the buttons on my actual key and both windows went down. I can control my passenger side window with the button on the door.

Anyone had this problem before? I did leave my windows slightly open and it rained last night, could the switch button be shorted? but the switch to control the mirror too though?

Was wondering if anyone had similar issue or can provided insights to a guy who doesn't know much about cars.

thanks.

sounds like your troubleshooting has eliminated the motor or regulator being dead.

look for a blown fuse, doubt it is this though since it still works by key.

then
i would take a hair dryer to the switch area on the driver door and see if you can dry it out, if that didn't work i would try to remove the switch from the door panel and mess with it some more.

You could try the drying out the wet cell phone trick. Take the switch out and stick it in a container of rice.

You guys are the best. Yes it appears to be because the switch was wet. I opened the door and let it air dry in the sun for about 2 hours and it magically worked again.

Thanks again guys.
