hi bmw320i. join the Y connector 320i club. we can talk about more extensive exhaust mods after the 3yr warranty expires/. the prev e46 318i had single pipes and the E46 320i had dual pipes.

hi bmw320i/ would advice that u check and choose the exhaust tip at the shop with the technician. e46 single pipe-318i has a small round pipe, unlike e90 320i- larger oval pipe.

Hi,
Thank you for your replies! I was able to measure the size of the exhaust pipe on the 320d. At the very end it is 56 * 96 mm and few centimeters before the end it becomes a bit more like a circle so a tip that accept 63mm exhaust should fit So I think I will go for a Y connector to have a 2*70mm exhaust. for the conversion from milimeters to inches this make (http://www.digitaldutch.com/unitconverter/ ) : 56 mm = 2.2in 96 mm = 3.77in 63 mm = 2.48in 70 mm = 2.75in 76 mm = 3in The e-tech exhaust tip look good and might fit the 320d exhaust if it is cut long enough, I might go for this one as well. Thanks ajji for the link! If you do this change before me please post a picture of it. I think in any case that when putting a Y connector the end of the pipe need to be cut so the diameter of the exhaust will not be that big. The exhaust tip form ajji post is 250 mm ( 9.85in) so this means that at least 6in need to be cut from the pipe.
