Help pricing my e91 335i
Hello all.
I'm planning to advertise my 2011 e91 335i over the next few months. As you may be aware these are rare and can be difficult to price them correctly. So I wanted to get some feedback from you all to get an idea of what it's worth. Details are as below and please be honest. model - e91 335i M-sport auto Year- 2011 11 plate Mileage - 29900 Colour - metallic black Service - full BMW Options fitted are: Auto box Front parking Xenon Chrome roof rails Electric folding mirrors Pro nav Electric front seats with memory Black leather Heated seats Enhanced Bluetooth I think this is it, I also had the wheels done in a different colour. The car isn't due for a service until 2017 but since I do low mileage I will be doing one next month when the mot is due. The car has 6 months left on the warranty which isn't a BMW but still a good one. Here is a pic of the car to help. Thank you |

Crikey, they are rare, I only found one E91 335i on Autotrader, a 77mile SE of 13k
I've seen dealers retail ones around your spec/mileage around 20k, so for a private sale, you've got to drop a bit, but no more than 2k I'd say. |

Thank you for the feedback. There are plenty of coupe and cabs around but saloon and tourers not many.
Even main dealers don't have any at the moment. I just don't want to get the price wrong. |

The last LCi E91 auto I saw for sale was £19,995 and sold within a day or two. Spec wasn't as good as yours, but mileage very similar. Reckon yours would be in the same ballpark for a private sale.

Thank you all, much appreciated.
DCT to my knowledge were never added to the e90/e91. It does have the paddles and being a 2011 they are all on the n55 with single turbo. N54 twin turbos were available until 2009. |

Yup, it didnt have nav. Not sure about the roof. I've just been to Sytners and really fancy an Alpina D3. Fortunately, they were just closing, so didn't have a long conversation with the sales guy!

I did look at D3's but most are standard cars without options. But I would like to have an alpina. I was offered one a month ago but a D5?! Not sure how their codes work. I just couldn't justify the £30k for one even if this one had loads of options.

There's a lovely D5 touring for sale on Autotrader. Would love it, but at £40k, it's probably out of reach. Sadly.

I have two kids, size is still important for me. But you are right, the 335i is going to be hard to replace. But there is a time things need to move on and a new toy in. I agree £30k was a hard call, £40k even more. Once the car is on the market I will have to get something quickly. I work better under pressure and the the benefit to use work cars if mine is sold quickly. |

I have been thinking of going down the Golf R route myself.
You car should go pretty easily I was looking last year the only thing a bit marmite is the combo of Silver rails/window surrounds of the black car black wheels combo. Another option is Jason Barker at Birds. I imagine would buy outright for high teens as they could probably sell for low 20's. May get pretty close to your private money for zero hassle. You can even time your new car arrival if you have a guaranteed outlet secured. Send him a mail & he will price it up. Sold my 130i this way. Then dropped it off & picked up new car on same day. |

Just had a look at their website and they are selling a 335d with pretty much the same spec for £21500 with over 40k on the clock. Will for sure give them a call and see what they say.

And they bought that 335d from a chap in my home town. He had it advertised at £20k, so perhaps Birds paid between £18k and 19k or thereabouts?

Called birds today and they offered me £16.5k without seeing the car. I said it was a touch low and was looking for more. They will look into it a bit more and see if they can increase their offer. I said I could pop over if they want to see the car. Not sure how much higher they will go but at least it's a good start.

A touch low, so you'd be happy with 17k?
The collective genius of E90 post all seem to agree 18k upwards, so why not try a private ad before finalising with Birds who could well see it over 20k. I'd be more confident if it was a manual, as I've read several posts seeking those; but it's still a rare car and low mileage. So I think there would be takers from the off. |
