Hi
I shot this the video about a year ago. Mods in my signature + gold Tee I do hear cracks and burbles when watching the video, however almost never when actually driving and listening from inside the cabin. Seems it just isn't as pronounced as the n55

Man I got rid of all my cats, added a Vibrant 1792 resonator in place of both secondary cats, and threw on the PE mufflers last week. Every time I let off the throttle I get tons of gurgles and pops. Sounds like my old CBR when I go WOT too I know the goal here is to get the same effect without spending $$$ on hardware but damn I'm pleased

I agree, back in the day I'd be quite embarressed if my exhaust popped/backfired. It meant that you had an exhaust leak somewhere and or pos.

I agree too many pops can be silly but the burrbble / gurggle is what I mean. And I get it ALL DAY LONG on my straight pipe from turbo's back with no x-connect or h-pipe, no cats, and no resonators nor muffles. My exhaust is loud. Probably the loudest on this forum. And I get the gurggles and burbbles on off throttle acceleration all day long ONLY if I keep my foot on the accelerator w/ a slight tip in. And it's so hard to keep it right there at the perfect 1% throttle push-in with my right foot. The N55 guys don't have to keep their foot on the throttle slightly tipped in. They're able to use that foot to brake the vehicle and the car STILL gurggles/burbbles. BuraQ this is my best explanation. Also, upon a cold start in the morning my car naturally sounds like a PPK N55 but only for about 2 minutes then it's gone and I have to hold the throttle down at a 1% tip in.

This is awesome and I hope Martial can put this in affect soon. Would gladly throw a tip in a jar to help with the heat.

Ok finished with map, disabled flap, midcats and stock exhaust still suppressing much of the sound but I can hear tons of gurgles and pops within the exhaust line, unless I'm hearing things...lol
Waiting for adaptations to settle then I'll send out the test map for those who have upgraded exhaust or axle backs. Mine ain't cutting much. Send email request to BuraQ@mybmw335is.com I need your VIN# and mods and if you are on I8A0S, IJE0S, or INA0S and fuel type. I will select 3 people only. Maps will be snail maps by the way ...lol Last edited by BQTuning; 03-11-2016 at 08:43 PM.. |

BTW this is only for MHD not COBB if you're still on that side. There will be no high boost or load or timing. Everything pretty much will be closer to stock performance. |

Playing around I set the target AFR to 9.99 and the timing to -10.00 in the 13 load column from 7000 down to 2000 (these cells are not touched during normal driving). On very light throttle application on decel it runs down this column and sounds much more prominent than stock, but not like the PPK tune I've heard. Do you need to press the throttle lightly to make it do it on the PPK tune? If not they must not be shutting off the injectors on decel. Usually there are injector shutoff timers you can increase to achieve this (eg after lift off delay injector closing for 5000msec will give you crackles/pops for that time), but with so few tables available in the roms we have very little control (no injector control, no launch maps or 2-step launch boost control, no VE tables, no ECU controlled flex fuel, the list goes on). Many other cars have fully unlocked ECU tables and even custom roms with tables the stock ECU never even had allowing things like this and more but BMW aftermarket tuning support and table definitions is sadly years behind at the moment. EINSER M posted the above. Adding him in here
