I'm going light on the mods... my current problem is I think my window tint is FUBAR'ed and I'm hating it. I'm considering placing an order for an M3...

Same with my tint! The rear glass dot matrix. I've been told to leave it be now or chance having the defroster wrecked. Only bad for us OCD types. As for the M3, I'm holding off to get away from the oversticker sickness. Going with JuiceBox2 when the time comes Only have 708 miles to date...waiting for the magic 1200 mark

If you do order a M3, I would love to see it sometime. While I love the looks of the new M3, I just could not justify the car since I am already sitting in stop and go traffic on Ulmerton everyday. In my situation, the M3's advantages over my 335i Coupe would only benefit my ego and it's re-sale value.

Guys, This will help. I had my windows done 5% all around with Lumar film. Have them do the back window up until the dot matrix at the top of the rear window. Then simply put a BLACK VINYL (sp?) over the dot matrix and your problem is solved and you cant tell its even there. Hope this helps..........

waiting time is sweet time. Delevery is heaven when you pick up the shiny beauty.
Then the ownership where it proves to be all you dreamed about. BMW rox.

PS..don't forget the 335 dual exhaust mod (in lieu of the golf tee mod) Sounds awesome and you can connect it back in 2 sec. No warning lights. I never knew that the Driver exhaust doesn't function until WOT. Supposedly sounds best on e92/e93 according to the threads http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...85&postcount=1 Last edited by slant83; 01-24-2008 at 03:25 PM.. |

So it was, thanks for noticing. It was a beautiful, sunny and very cold day in Spartanburg. The Performance Center crew were entertaining and hospitable, and I got to put a 335i Step ZSP through the paces on the slalom/gymkhana, the skid pad and the panic stop/obstacle avoidance test -- repeatedly. It is really fun to have the experience of the car at and beyond its limits. Because of the cold weather, the skid pad was partly cold and clear, and partly glare ice, which made it interesting (to put it mildly). Full throttle on smooth ice with no DSC or DTC is a panic. And DSC is amazing. After that we had X5's to try out on the off-road circuit, and a fleet of SMG 650's to drive over to the Zentrum.
Nice getting reacquainted with my car, too, and the morning with the step made me happy, once again, that I had chosen the MT for my own car. Now comes the run back to the west coast. No pix today -- I have some in the camera but neglected to bring a cable or card reader for the upload. |
