it is a great diy....
you'll be doing it again and again when the paint chips from road debris. trust me. buy a black plastic grille set.

Dittos for a great DIY... those that have done this and used glossy black paint, did you paint the actual grill too or just the chrome pieces.
Just in case anyone wants to purchase new upper chrome pieces (on the hood) here are the P/Ns for the e90 51137117241 and 51137117242. They're currently about 10.00 each from Crown. |

I have 1/2" of a gap on the top of my grill, and i tried for 10+ min. trying to get all the tabs in and flush with the car. Is it just me or are the grills from Jlevi not a perfect fit?
They look good, just hoping they dont pop out on a massive pothole.

Great DIY!!
Quick question: Have you had any problems with chipping at all? The only reason I ask is I did this on my previous vehicle and there was chipping from rocks, much more than anywhere else on the front of the vehicle. |

Thanks for the DIY. I have a question also. Does anyone know where I can get the screws for the top part of the kidneys? One fell in the engine bay and I'm not sure where it went. Should BMW parts have this screw? I got a temp replacement at the hardware store, so I know its a M5 80 pitch, but I would like the matching screw with torx head.
