Nordschleife
Hi gents,
has anybody yet clocked the time on Nordschleife with 330i. I'm really interested about it since I still have to wait the obligatory 2000-3000km to break it in. I would thimk that 8:45 is easily possible. |

I've done about 15 laps with the E90 330i at the Ring but it was too crowded. Hermanh from Belgium did the same thing.

Quick question by the side: How does it work if I would like to drive with my car on the track? Is it open every day, entry possible for everybody, do I need a kind of "reservation" for driving there ??? THX

I've read that BMW have set 09:00 full lap (i.e. not BTG) with a 320si... so a 330i should do very well BTG.

No - Nordshleife only.
I guess most know this, but just to clarify. Car manufacturers generally quote times for the Nordshleife only (Full lap - not including the F1 track) Most enthusiasts quote a BTG time (Bridge to Gantry) because on tourist days you can't run the main straight all the way through. There is a big difference in time between a full lap and a BTG lap. In something like a Porsche GT3, about 20 seconds.

if done with my old e30 years ago. not moded. 175hp and a time of 10:35. it was very hard. a lot oftraffic. there were no better time in it. if you want drive realy fast take part of a driving performance trainig. less cars on track and faster times. this gave me a better satisfaction and much more fun
