OFFICIAL 12 YEAR OLD e90 THREAD
Lets see your 12 year old e90's!!!
Mine is a 9/05 build 325i. Jet Black with Tara Dakota interior. 210,000 miles and going strong. How many modern cars look this good 12 years after they rolled off the line? |

How is the paint holding up on your 325i? I have a 9/05 build 330xi as well, but the paint is really taking a beating on the hood. A couple years of naivete is clearly reflected through the paint condition.

06 330i, Feb 2005 build date. 240k kms (150k miles) recent track day, after I detailed it of course. Paint still looks new on the side, the front is pretty rashed from all the highway driving I do. Still drives amazing!

06 330i, June 2005 build date. sparkling graphite and terra. 110k miles on the clock. Sometimes I catch myself stealing glances when walking away. Other times I'm moaning about the maintenance this thing keeps asking for. It's been fun but I'm ready for something else.

Most people significantly underestimate the age of these cars, although the design wasn't ground breaking, it also means that it has aged very well next to the other new f anf g generation vehicles.

Thankfully none. I have just a touch on the steering wheel controls on the left, just outside the picture, and some on the door interior pull handles. |

Still need to do oil pan gasket and oil filter housing gasket! I drove a Golf R today and came away impressed, so maybe that’s what the future holds. |

Sounds like your car has been pretty good to you over the last decade +. Nice! The oil filter housing gasket is super quick, especially if you pick up the 1/4" Snap-on swivel. Just leave the water hose connected and pull the unit while still attached to access the gasket. Probably an hour if you're moving thoughtfully. I might be tempted to just leave the pan gasket if it were me. It's a ton of work for not much reward. |
