Anybody merged the 3 x USB version into a 1 USB version?
From looking at previous 1 x USB versions, you simply have to copy all the files to one location?

As I need the disks to update my 09 335i, is anyone that has burnt the disks willing to send them to me when you are done(US Postal)? I wasted a lot of time trying to get the 17-1 downloads to work and finally gave up. I have no issues reimbursing you for your costs as well.

My problem is the download part. Spotty internet here when downloading.. I downloaded the files for 17-1 3 times and each time it was corrupt for some unknown reason and a couple times it was like 12kb into the download and said complete, after 4 hours when it was an incomplete file.

Many thanks! Need anything from Germany? Another idea, I can send you a USB stick and you can send it back or I can pay you for the USB stick and burn them myself. Let me know what is easier for you.

Hi, I have the files but when I insert the usb, nothing seems to happen on the screen! It’s formatted as fat32, I’ve got the usb 1 files at the root of the usb drive... anyone know what I might be doing wrong?! I’m using a Mac and I’ve deleted hidden files on the usb drive but I’m wondering if I’ve missed something

If so put fsc.exe somewhere easy to find (eg put it in a "1b" folder on c:\ so c:\1b) then open cmd prompt (if you're on windows 7 or newer click start button - type cmd in search box at bottom, wait for cmd.exe to appear at top of search list - right click cmd.exe and select 'run as administrator' to rule out any potential UAC issues), navigate to where you put fsc.exe (if you put it in c:\1b just type cd c:\1b to get to that folder. Type the below to get map code output to a text file named code.txt (code.txt will appear in the folder you put fsc.exe in, ie c:\1b in our example): fsc a.hex 0x28 0x2D > code.txt 0x28 0x2D is the code for this 2018-1 map For anyone not sure how to get to the 319 byte a.hex file stage: 1. Open the file in a hex editor like Hxd http://mh-nexus.de/downloads/HxDSetupEN.zip 2. Press CTRL-F to search, change the search mode to "Hex" and then search for "01 01 00 1B” 3. Highlight and delete everything prior to "01 01 00 1B” 4. Go to line (offset) 130 and delete the last block and everything after. The data to be deleted should begin with "3F 01" 5. Save the file as "a.hex", which should be exactly 319 bytes Last edited by undecided1; 11-06-2017 at 03:14 PM.. Reason: further explanation added |
