Power Steering issues I think
I have an 08 E93 auto. I noticed when turning the steering wheel that I'm getting feedback from the steering wheel. It clicks. Now I popped the hood and I see a lot of dirt/oil accumulated around the resivaour cap. I checked fluid and it didn't seem that low. Any ideas. Is my power steering rack going bad. Drives fine just when turning the wheel all the way to one side.

The gasket on the reservoir cap is bad. Either just Change it or change out the reservoir and do fluid change. You should do a fluid change every 50k and a fluid & reservoir change every 100k. Your rack could be going bad. It's hard to say. You can get a Bosch steering rack for about $650.00 or so. Also, you could spray some silicone grease on the steering knuckle and see if that helps. Tie rods could be worn Strut bearings Control arms There are a lot of things that could be making that sound. : |

I saw a couple of videos to check the two torx bolts that hold the rack on. |
