Start off assistant on 4 cyl
Hi
Somewhere I heard the start-off assist is only on 6 cyl. engines. Is it true? Is there a way to get it in my 320d? Is it just a software thing, or am I missing some hardware? Thanks |

What is a start-off assistant? Are you talking about the hill-holder feature? It should be on all cars.

If it's true it's probably because 4 and 6 cylinder cars have different DSC units.
My 325i have it and I find it very annoying. When releasing the brake to let the car roll back it takes a few seconds before it starts rolling. Maybe it can be disabled with coding?
