VRSF E Chassis 335d M57 DPF Delete Announcement!
http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-335d-st...-bmw-335d.html We are proud to introduce our VRSF 3" DPF delete for the M57 E90 & E92 335d. This 3" downpipe is THE best bang for the buck mod available. By eliminating the restrictive DPF in the factory downpipe, backpressure is reduced significantly which results in faster spool, an increase in power & a more aggressive exhaust note. Our 3" downpipes are hand crafted from SS304 stainless steel and include a lifetime warranty & our "No Hassle" satisfaction guarantee.
NOTE: This item will only fit US market vehicles Application: 2008-2012 BMW 335D Model Number: E-335D-DP Last edited by Tiago@VRSF; 07-03-2018 at 09:33 PM.. |

anyone tried this downpipe yet?
how's fitment? Does it bolt up in stock location? Does it bolt up to other guy's scr delete pipes ? The pricing here is making me consider doing the delete. |

how's fitment? just fine Does it bolt up in stock location? yes Does it bolt up to other guy's scr delete pipes ? if they bolt up to factory then yes you will need to trim the EGT bung about an 1/8 of an inch.. I did so with a flap wheel |

for those wondering what I am talking about here is it. the nut for the EGT probe is bottoming out causing a leak. if yours is too long you simply can file it down super easy and you don't need to remove a lot of metal..
from what I can tell the probe to the outside seal edge is .75 and the bung is about .76 to .8 I used a flap wheel and removed until I was happy. if this was in the .6 +/- .025 there should be no issues. ill have to see how much I flap off and see where it ends up. |

Any plans to offer a catted version? I'd love to pull the trigger, but unfortunately it looks like I'll need a cat to pass inspection where I am.
I probably could have one welded in, but I prefer plug and play, less to go wrong

We do have a catted version in mind for the future after we release our FMIC & catback.

It seems like a lot of guys are after catted downpipes now. The smell might be annoying, so I think I want catted also.
If you have the rest of the exhaust at a good price then I would be interested in that too. |

I'm only after a cat since inspection requires one. I'm all about simplicity, and a cat is something that can clog and lead to issues, I'd go catless if I could. Smell seems to be personal preference, some don't mind it and some find it intolerable. My recommendation is find a straight piped car and see if you're ok with the smell, no need for a cat if you don't have to have one. Just my two cents

We have about a couple dozen products on the production roll for almost every BMW imaginable.
I can't say exactly when but I can say it's in the works, it'll be affordable and it will offer equal or better quality than the available current available options. |

I did smell a D, it had original exhaust with guts cut out.
It was not a nice smell. Infact it was worse than back in the MK3 and MK4 TDI days. So I'm sort of reluctant on doing the alphabet delete, unless I can get a catted downpipe. |
