Wow, unreal the size/restriction difference. Do you have a part number for the euro IAT?

Says "delivery might be Sept. 10-20" but I have faith it'll come sooner lol. Either way the cars running fine now.

Flash went smoothly. No fault codes after the flash or after resetting adaptations but my CEL was still illuminated for some reason. It went away on its own after a few drives though. Only oddity so far is the idle randomly surges to ~1200 RPM briefly during cold starts.

Engine seems to have a little more life in it. Runs smoother and feels more responsive, especially in low to mid RPM range. Also feels like there's more low RPM torque in higher gears? Still monitoring fuel consumption but it appears to be the same.

Doesn't seem like there are any downsides to the MAF delete tune so if you have the European IAT sitting around or can get it cheap, go for it!

Basically wire up one end of the switch to pin 18 on that JBE module, and the other to ground. Then wire a second switch to pin 36 (or use a rocker). And then in NCS, go to the JBE module and set "FDS_Switch" to aktiv. Then in the Kombi, set FDC_ID_MONITOR to aktiv, along with either FDC_VERBAUT or SPORT_ANZEIGE (both are the same function, but newer clusters have the second label for whatever reason). Maybe also set FDS_ENABLE, FDS_ID_MONITOR, FDS_CSUM_MONITOR, and FDS_ALIVE_ZAEHLER to aktiv (these functions are only in KMBI_PL2.C08 and C09).

DME will still need programming to enter sport mode, but it's only a single byte if you're using the CAN-bus to trigger it IIRC.
Is this possible with the n55 335 manual?? its annoying that the auto guys have a sport mode but the manual guys dont.

Is it possible to retrofit or code a sport mode?

just now completed the euro 330i flash on my 2011 E91XiT. RSA delete took ~ 20 minutes, 0dA file took about 2. left with 2 MSV80 errors to research. 0x2FA3 and 0x2AA8. Gonna take it for a ride to evaluate performance, but car started right up and idles well.

thanks for all the support on this Hass, Terra, and rjahl. Looking forward to spending some $ with you guys on a custom tune at some point.

2FA3 is from flashing and doesn't cause any issues or trigger the CEL so it can be ignored. If you want, you can use NCS Expert to remove it. I forgot how exactly, but it involves writing a blank file to the DME.

2AA8 might be your large DISA valve. Did you test your valves with INPA before installation? https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1491906

Talking

thanks very much for the link - i didn't test either DISA valve before installation. i'd already spent way too much time rebuilding the damn things with the russian kit. the parts were very nice, but gluing things back together was a PIA, so with the car in the air going on 2 weeks, i just wanted it done.

the error code does check out as a connection break, i had a chance to cycle the connectors but was unable to finish with another look in INPA. the USB on my laptop is looking flakey, which makes me think i may have dodged a bullet when i did the RSA delete / 0DA upload. once it started, i just sat in the car and let it roll without moving a muscle. it was a bit of a pucker for about 1/2 hour...

I'm excited to get my euro IAT then! Plus I can probably get my money back + more from selling the functional MAF.

Does the MAFless tune work with headers?

I hope so. I've been running the stock 130i tune which Hass and I think is already MAFless, and I've got my AA headers and haven't had issues. I'm sure I'm missing some power, and I throw catalyst inefficiency codes, but it took a full 3.5k miles before a CEL appeared.

One of these days when I'm done dealing with 6 other things I'm just gonna have him whip me up a custom tune.

I THINK ZB# of 330i should be 8619316 (8619317.0da and also 7612455.0pa). But this is only what I found online somewhere, not sure if this is correct...I could just try to flash and see what happens.

EDIT: Corrected zb#. Its correct now.
Hi everybody! I'm reading this thread for quite a while and finally decided to ask whether a tune of my European 325i is possible.

PD330, did you have any luck converting your N53?

I'm currently sitting on a E92 325i N53B30 on my own and would like to increase the power by using a BimmerLabs flash.

I'm currently running ZB# 8619230 and I can see that as "stock" file in my BimmerLabs project. I assume I would need to see a 330i file (with powel level changed to UL) in the custom section?

Is there a possibility to get a 330i flash while still using single stage input manifold?

Yes, that should be possible. I would just need to modify the right ZB# for a 330i that matches one of our supported MSD8x software versions.

Catching up a little bit from my vacation - but I have a list:
323i (N52B25)
328i (N51)
325i (N53B30)

If you want to help, if you find the right 330i ZB# for either MSD80 (0044DC0I960S) or MSD81 (0044CC0IJE0S) it will not take a long time to modify and upload. Eventually we'll have more software versions supported but those are what we currently have online.

hassmaschine, Thanks for the quick reply!

Let me see how I can help finding the 330i ZB# matching to one of the SW releases you mentioned tomorrow.

I got a dump of a 325i N53B30 and ZB numbers.
I can also get a dump of a 330i N53B30 and ZB numbers in the next weeks.

I can generate binaries of any stock tune at this point - so if you know which ZB# is required, thats all I really need.

Digged through kmm_ATSH.txt today.
I believe the ZB# for E92 LCI 330i N53 is: 8619306
My E92 LCI 325i N53 is: 8619230

hassmaschine, can you confirm from looking at the files?

Copied and pasted from an email I sent Hassmachine, I'm running his 130i "off the shelf, stock" tune.

"So I got my hands on one of those Euro IAT sensors and I stuck it in and have been driving around all day with it. I'm not quite convinced the 130i stock tune is a MAF delete.

RealOEM didn't list the 130i as one of the cars which has the part number (13 62 7 547 822) but I know that doesn't speak to the tunes the car has.

At first I stuck the IAT in and forgot to clear adaptations - the car literally wouldn't give throttle input if I had any brake input. No heel-toeing whatsoever.

After I cleared adaptations, it seemed to run fine at first but I drove around with varying scenarios (AC on/off, coasting, flooring it, idling, etc) and let the adaptations relearn and its running not great. When I floor it and its above 3k, it pulls harder, but anything else it stumbles and misses sometimes. Idle almost stalls and slipping the clutch is difficult because the throttle input is all over the place. I haven't seen any MAF related codes but I haven't put enough miles on it I don't think."
