Help shipping out some stuff..

i am going to be shipping out a sub and the sub box.. I was wondering if it is a good idea to ship the sub while still in the sub box or should i ship the sub and the sub box seperatly???

when you say the sub, are you asking about the driver? I would remove the driver from the eclosure if it's something you care about. Both the enclosure and the driver will handle the rigors of shipping better.

i remember back when i bought my sub box and subs for my mustang cobra, that i received it all together, it was safer, and cheaper for the sender!!!

It depends on the box. Depending on how they are mounted, and what the box is made from, and if you have some foam blocking for the drivers, it could be OK.

If the box is dropped with the drivers mounted, the weight of the drivers could pull themselves from the mounted position, damaging the box and the drivers. Yes, people ship subs with the drivers mounted all day long, but they are in packaging designed for the purpose, and there is usually some foam blocking supporting the driver that is removed before use.

Yes, it would be cheaper to send as one unit.
