Drove the thing after fitting a few parts.
Grabbed a Precision Raceworks Stage 2+ LPFP and had that fitted. My long term goal is to go single turbo eventually so I took a gamble and bought some cheap Aliexpress downpipes and inlets (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mert...491097962.html) and inlets (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Sili...865102241.html), after seeing some decent reviews on Aliexpress downpipes and chargepipes in here earlier this year. I'd rate the China inlets at 90% fitment compared to OEM. Turbo -> inlet connections are solid and flush, front inlet clears pulleys well (ended up securing them with zip ties anyway to ensure they don't go anywhere near the pulleys when the car is in motion). My DCI's clamp on to the inlets fine but are a little closer to each other than with stock inlets, so I'm not sure these inlets will properly fit a stock airbox. Diverter valve inlet connections don't use adaptors to fit the stock dv -> inlet connections. We'll see how the rear inlet holds up over time and whether the turbos give in before that. DP's were a big hassle due to the bank 2 DP being defective such that it wouldn't line up with the exhaust properly and would touch a transmission bolt. This ended up costing me slightly more than what I would've paid if I bought VRSF V2 DP's straight up (assuming there's zero chance of fitment issues with them). Bank 1 DP fitted great. Both downpipes have slightly worse v-band fitment than the known aftermarket DP's according to my mechanic who's fairly versed in N54 bolt-ons. VRSF 7" HD FMIC is finally on the way so I'll be looking at getting a custom E50 tune once that's in! Looking at having Twisted Tuning sort me out, since road logging is fun, and seriously considering the Motiv flex fuel kit. How much PSI are people running with stock twins? Looking at getting a couple of years out of them haha, maybe I should look at running around 19 - 20 psi. |

I would keep boost below 18 on stockie if you want them to last. Just my view. Others will tell you to go 25+ |

Krytox and gummi flege boys. Great lubricant for those that moisturize their cabrio roof lining rubbers once every 6 months. Keeps them soft and in good shape for so long and no rattles in roof after 10 years. Oh and don't forget to turn on the stereo and grab a glass a red while you are doing your detailing.. yolo

helping him get the maintenance done and will then put a stage 1 MHD tune in it LPFP is because we did some logs and its pressure was a bit flakey, so dropping my old LPFP in it as it was fine when I took it out injectors because he has an injector leak, once again, using my old ones for now, with new seals and a clean, have purchased an injector seal tool if anyone wants to borrow it for a small fee and postage water pump replacement sucks, the rest is pretty simple really OH and mine needs an oil change, the mid pipe fitted and a new clutch at some stage...need to get onto that |
