Nowhere, really. It gets trapped between the hub and inside of the rotor hat... but, I agree, a thin, even coating on the entire mating surface is all it needs.

Yes. Put it on the outside. Don't get it on anything it shouldn't be on and you're fine. I put it on the mating surface between the rotor and hub and on the bolts.

Best avoid lube on the bolts, or you'll likely over-torque them...

I've anit-seized every automotive bolt for the past 25+ years. Never once have I had one break or strip, unless it was one that has never been anti-siezed.
