Trying to find the engine code on my engine, anyone know where it's located on the N55?

I believe it should be under the intake manifold. Take it off then you should be able to see it on the engine block right next to the HPFP.

Yep, that's it. inevitab1e I'm guessing you want to find out if yours is the N55B30M0 or N55B30O0? Unfortunately the engraved code is the short version (N55B30A) and is the same for both variants.

Good day my N55B30M0 on my x3 3.5i needs to be replaced and i am slightly confused with regards to the codes. I have sourced an engine but its the N55B30A and i am wondering whether i can do an exchange without any hassle?

Is there a way to find out which engine exactly one has? I have a 2015 335i xDrive F30, but BMW had to replace my engine within warranty because of a broken crankshaft. I now have the N55B30A engraved and I have no idea which engine exactly that is.
