349/406 xdrive PWG, F30 2013 335xi..i want to get it dyno tuned when I get the xHP flash for the trans.
yea i saw it in person(his single turbo F80 m3)..he just got a porsche!

Just tuning the car to take both simultaneously... unlike ESS' tune requiring primaries in place If anything, in hindsight, I'm a lil' ignorant for thinking someone else can't make that happen.

that's awesome. 285whp/236wtq hardly seems worth it for the cost of the kit, but your changes have basically doubled the baseline gains. I wonder how much of that is due to the addition of meth?

That increase in torque should be really noticeable. So, back to the headers no one runs FI + headers on the N52? Seems like an easy place to pick up HP. Like on the above dyno make that a manual tranny with headers and 350whp should be easy to attain. I bet you could start knocking on 400whp's door with full E85 + headers + an even smaller pulley and reving out to 7.5k rpms.

it's because ESS runs a MAF delete tune on their kits, and they couldn't make the MAF delete work with headers. It has to do with the wideband feedback loop and the changed position of the sensors relative to the exhaust ports.

I find it hard to believe no shop has a work around for this or could create one if they cared/tried. Because basically you are upgrading the intake signifigantly with the SC and still having a restrictive stock exhaust. Not the best way to make your air pump(engine) breath.

no I don't think so. I think they couldn't figure out how to tweak the load model properly so it would run right. At least, from what I've seen of their gong show tune on the M54 (with MS45.1), maybe they just didn't want to deal with it. That DME would go to 100% throttle suddenly at about 60% load. It took weeks to sort that out..
In any case, you don't need the MAF - it's not worth worrying about it. BPC can take care of it I'm sure. |
