Had the car walnut blasted this week, along with the normal brake fluid change.
Walnut blast results speak for themselves. Apparently mine was one of the worst they've seen due to it being very baked on rather than the normal gummy residue. The difference is that it feels a bit faster, my economy has increased a bit (we'll see going forward) but I now can't even feel the car running at idle, whereas before I'd feel everything through the seat. Whilst I had the workshop's hire car, I went up to see a member of the facebook group to pick up a new bit for my exhaust. After:

Yeah I'm much happier now it's been done, just having a smooth idle makes such a difference.
That is pretty much the last bit of major maintenance that this needs, bar new coils in the next year or so.

Great looking car Dann, a great successor for your E36 which I remember seeing at Santapod back in 2013, I had the Titanium Silver E46 Saloon if you recall

I'm good thank you, yourself?
Too much went wrong with my E46 (Cooling fan, Bonnet Cable + Rust) and commuting to see the Mrs meant I decided to sell it on (went to my mechanic) so I'm now in a Diesel Mercedes E-Class as that was offered to me cheap. Lovely cruiser but so so boring, I miss the noise of a straight 6 so I'm now looking for a E92 335i myself. Have you considered a M3 lip spoiler and a BMW Performance Diffuser for yours? |

That's a shame, but I suppose it happens when cars get older. Eurgh a diesel and eurgh a Mercedes There's a lot of those out there, so you should have a decent choice. I already have the M3 lip on it and have considered the rear diffuser but haven't done anything yet (I've been looking at changing cars recently)

Small update.
Gave the car a clean the other day and updated the maps to 2018. It's now up to 64k and might be getting changed for something fairly soon (If I can decide if I want to change that is) so could potentially be going up for sale

Pleased that you sold the 35i Dann.
When do you pick the new one up, did you go with the seat?

*Final Update*
So if you've been keeping tabs on the for sale thread, you'll have seen that a few weeks ago I sold the 335i.
Had a guy ring me on the Tuesday, viewed the car on the Wednesday and we came to a deal on the price. Wasn't quite what I wanted, but it was an easy and hassle free sale so I let it go. Anyway...the replacement... I knew I wanted a Leon Cupra 290 DSG. It had to be 5 door, 2016 with around 20k miles and had to have the black pack. I found a few for sale but each one sold before I had a chance to enquire about them. Then one popped up with a very short description (Grey, 1 owner, x miles) at a dealer. I knew that I wanted a white one, and Seat do a very light grey that is basically white (Cupra only colour). So when I enquired and found out it was the light grey I put a deposit down. A week later, I jumped on the train for a 3.5hr trip from Portsmouth to Ashford in Kent to collect it. So here it is: Seat Leon Cupra 290 Black 6spd DSG 2016 17,000 miles Black pack consists of Heated Bucket seats, Black trim pieces and 19" Diamond cut alloys. Just waiting on the V5 so I can put my private plate on ( I hate GB plates too) It's great fun to drive (290bhp, fwd with LSD and Adjustable suspension) and is super quick (on paper faster than the 335i). Very different to the BMW though (not high spec, seats are no where near as soft and everything is more manual) Its a bit boring to look at but this will change with side skirts, front splitter and rear diffuser. Hoping to keep it fairly standard, but you never know

Like these When my BMW goes I will probably look at Octavia VRS DSG which I believe is similar engine albeit de-tuned. Remap and exhaust should see 300+, can imagine the Cupra could be safely remapped to 340ish?

Yeah I didn't really but always liked the Leon and being more efficient, bigger, faster and DSG made it a better car for me over the Focus. Quote:
Stage 1 on this (remap) gives you 360/370bhp, but putting that down through the front wheels will be challenging at best.
