Jb4 help??!!
New member here! I have a 535xi, like to think I installed the jb4 correctly. But seems like the jb4 has no power going into it. Started the car, no sweeping motion of the cluster needles. Did the volume down, search down buttons, nothing!! The car turned on like any other time. Any help be greatly appreciated!
If anyone is local, I’m in Worcester, MA, and care to swap out their jb4 to mine to see the what the issue would be awesome as well lol. |

So no codes came up? That would mean everything everything is plugged in correctly, but the JB4 isn't being powered. I would double check the power tap/connection.
Did you buy a secondhand or new JB4?

Awesome! There's no way to restore a JB4 to the factory settings, so since you bought a second hand JB4 I would double check all of the settings and return them to the factory defaults. Going through each menu will be a painstaking process, but this device is controlling how your engine runs so it's better to play it a little on the safe side.

Upgrade your chargepipe to an aluminum one ASAP, the stock plastic chargepipe often fails even at stock boost levels. I would install the intake when you're doing the chargepipe, cheap & easy if you're going the dual cone intake (DCI) route .
After those, downpipes are the last piece you'll need to kick the JB4 up to the stage 2 map. I don't think the 535xi downpipes install is as easy as 335s. I'd look into that though.
