My download speed is 250Mpbs is 250. Far from slow.
It's not me and yeah this has been probably the most difficult and frustrating thing. At this point I don't care how much it costs from BMW. I will never waste a weekend doing this again. I definitely want to know what everyone else uses to Download the maps to their computers. This WebTorrent is garbage or it's the fact that no one is downloading it to help speed up the process. I don't know and haven't got much help. Definitely isn't as easy as people make or sound on here if this is what they go through. |

You can't do much about the speed of the peers, so I'd let it run until it completes (however, long it takes). |

Hi,
Someone know what I am doing wrong? I have tried 3 pendrives all of them formated to FAT32, copied copie_scr.sh only, tried the written method: started the car, waited 1-5-15 min, stopped the car and the hex file still not there. The car parameters: 2010 X1 ECE 101092011.0.11 Road map europe motion 2010 Regards, Laszlo |

Thanks ! Worked like a charm
Hello, thanks for this amazing thread: worked like a charm on my X1 35i 2014 that had the NA Premium 2014 maps. Updated to 2019 Premium Maps in one hour. The only caviar is that the USB stick must be formatted in FAT32, MBR partition (on a MAC, you have the choice in between GUID, MBR and a third one). Apart from that: everything runs smooth
Thanks again ! |

Hello,
I have a BMW E91 made in 2010/03 with factory Motion 2010 map on it. The copie_scr.sh script not worked so I used an ENET cable to extract the generalPersistencyData_DiagnosticSWTController file and converted it to a FSC code. I plugged in the flash drive with the map, the car recognizes the map update USB flash drive, it asks the FSC code, but when I enter it nothing happens, the window not appear where it appears the percentage of installation. What am I making wrong and what can be the solution? Thanks in advance! |

Tnx!!! Worked like a charme on my F11 from 2012. What I did wrong the first attempt was: I inserted the USB prior to firing up the ignition -> what worked: just start op the car (no engine running) -> wait for 30-60 seconds -> then put in the USB in the glove compartiment -> wait for some time (again 30-60 seconds) and this resulted in a perfect 1b.hex file. Just updated to Road Map Premium West Europe 2019-2!

"As correctly pointed out above by user Opjose pulling the 1b file via usb stick is limited to cars equipped with a CIC unit and since you have an NBT navigation unit you'll have to follow a different approach (that is you want to get your "DE" file as opposed to 1b which is for CIC units only)."
