You never really have to remove the caliper to do this. Just mask well. Fresh brakes help so you do not ruin the paint changing them.

I finally got my replacement rear bumper yesterday. Car will be dipped today

disagree.

my car goes between 7500 mile changes without adding oil, and with only a quarter drop in the oil level on the dash.

according to the dealer it has an oil pan leak.
My car has an oil pan leak and between 7500 mile oil changes I generally add 3/4 quart of oil. Mine must be worse than yours. 😣 I add oil as soon as it drops, but I've read that you shouldn't add oil until the "add 1 quart" warning pops up.

Changed the rear ABS sensors and included spacers this time on an '06... unfortunately the light stayed on though so maybe I need new rings

Tested my Accumulator!

Should keep everything nice and lubricated during sustained cornering.

Any issues with the Speedo? Could be clock spring.

even with an oil pan leak, an ESS sensor leak and a valvetronic motor gasket leak I never had to add oil between changes.
honestly I'm 4500 miles into this oil change and the level hasn't dropped yet.

agree that you should wait until it's a full quart low.
the sensor is not that accurate so it can't be relied on to give an accurate 1/4 quart measurement.

I don't have a full build thread just posts here and there.

a full build thread would just be 90% me swearing.

I plan on LS swapping the car in the fall, I should do a build thread on that. or not, depending on how sacrilegious that is.

It was all over the place until I changed the sensors and added the spacer... now the speedo seems about right but I'm getting left and right codes. I don't know much more so I was going to try the rings and cross my fingers

I hadn't heard of the clock spring causing the ABS light, I also have DSC light and brake light.

Here are the codes from INPA:

5D B6 60 01 28 66 06 00 29 00 04
5D C3 E0 01 28 66 06 03 08 00 04

Few weeks ago, I've had almost the same replacement and in my case - it was much harder, so long story short the only thing that helped me a lot was Tap and Die set (one of these: https://cozyhousetoday.com/best-tap-die-set-review/), with all the screwing tools it has in it, it became much easier and pretty smooth. I take it everywhere I go with my babe on the wheels.

Well at least they fit in! Looks like you're gonna have to do one hell of a tape job when paint rolls around!

Did you wire them to the fogs or a separate switch?
