XDrive vs RWD Front Suspension Strut Difference
I'm looking at MeisterR suspension from UK. They make kit for RWD version E90 cars.
What's the difference to xDrive? Is it possible to "Mod" by swapping or cutting parts to fit? Thanks. |

Any RWD component will fit the rear of an xDrive car. The front suspension is completely different, due to the different subframe. Nothing from the front of an RWD car will fit the front of an xDrive car.

I see. Thanks. I thought it was interference issue from the drive shaft. If subframe is the issue then all the mounting points would move.
Yes, I noticed rear OE numbers are the same. MeisterR controls rolls very well and rides very nice at the same time, not harsh even at 2/3 damping on their CRD series. Lasts for 3 years on my other DD now. Factory goes out around 60k and my xDrive now has 60k. I suspect the rear right side is blown or weak. |
