Engine, transmission, and diff oils changed, got a brake fluid flush, winter rims/tires installed, got her detailed, rust proofed, and 20% window tint done (she had a light tint when I bought her, but not nearly dark enough). She's ready for winter ( ) now.
Cheers! |

My FCP order was successfully delivered to my work today and it looked like someone stomped on the box. Can’t wait to see how my exhaust packaging looks when it shows up tomorrow. |

Battery had been showing signs of weakening, so installed a new one.
Broke the long damn hold down bolt while I was at it, though. Was apparent it was going to break from the very first turn. Seemed to have fused pretty well in there. Oh well...

Installed a BN2000 combox for OEM Bluetooth streaming audio! Love it. Wish I'd done it a long time ago.
Also did some minor coding tweaks to the car while I was at it. Next up - smoked bumper reflectors and sidemarkers. After that, I'll be done modding until I can find an OEM Performance Diffuser. It seems to be discontinued |

You sound like me. Those hooks are about the only good part in these vehicles. Can somebody post an eBay link to these hooks?

Changed out the differential pressure sensor and then unboxed the two new Style 66 wheels that arrived this week (two others coming next week).
My shop assistant approved. |

Fixed an exhaust leak that popped up not long after d-pipes went on the car. Fortunately it was a simple fix: one of the new d-pipe to mid-pipe gaskets had blown out. Replaced both gaskets with Felpro part # 9547 which were available locally for $3 a piece.
If I run into further issues I'll be going to Felpro 60308 which are designed a bit differently and have metal around the inner lip similar to the OEM gaskets. So far so good though.

Completed the 328i oil temp retrofit, by replacing RPM face from a harvested 335i gauge cluster. It's a good thing I got the whole cluster too, as I screwed up the worm drive when I was replacing the needles so I needed to harvest a new servo unit from the 335i cluster.
Went in after a few times of adjusting, got the RPM and spedo to work properly again (and to accurate speed). Also took the cruise control gearing and used it to make a false warmup warning gauge. It's completely cosmetic and it kills me a little doing it, but it made me feel better using more parts from the 335i cluster. Still working on making it look cool on startup. |

I got the tach bang on, but I find the speedo is still slightly off (high), and I'm still fooling around with the cruise speed indicator (it shows lower than actual). Running the static tests, gives me accurate results, but once I'm actually out driving, I see the disparities. Cheers! |
