Hey guys, I bought a custom tune from twisted tuning may 2019 and just first had it flashed to my car. I have been using a tune from a local tuner but it's been problrmatic hence I am using the MHD custom tune now.

The email from Justin told me to log at 4 the gear maxed out. Would it be possible if I told a pull on a dyno on 4th instead? Dyno pull and street pulls. Is there a difference?

Also, how long does twisted tuning support a custom tune after purchase?

Thanks

These are questions you should ask Justin.

FWIW - A WOT log on a dyno for fourth is not going to be a whole lot different than street, with the added benefit of being much safer. However, you may need to do this many times with a few different revisions. I would find a safe location to do it without spending the money on the dyno until your on your final rev.

It very well could be fine, but as a veteran sysadmin I never trust wifi lol. There is 100% no way I would ever flash my car over wifi.

Don't want to start anything here but I have sent an email to Justin 7 days ago but no replies yet. How long does it take for him to respond?

Usually took him lots of time like 1 or 2 months to answer me...

Heís too busy now with his Supra.

I never got the bench unlock because I wasnít able to coordinate an appointment with him. Heís less than an hour from me me so I wanted to drive the FME up to him and get it all done in one day.

Right now Iím running JB4 with BEF thanks to the recent direct flash for late cars. I finally got it dialed in this weekend with Burgerís help and itís really good. Burger gave me instant email support, even on Sunday.

Is Wedge Performance better in terms of response time? I am eager to get my car dialed in even if i have to pay for a custom tune again...

Hi guys,

Has anyone had an issue with getting Camshaft errors after resetting adaptations? (reset all) on an N55?

I've been having some bogging/hesitation issues recently and decided to reset the adaptations to see if the issue goes away. I've had a few occasional TMAP errors but not much more.

Since resetting adaptations this time, I'm now getting the codes:

2C58 - Charging pressure control: Switch-off as consequence.
3012 - Exhaust camshaft: Installation faulty.

3012 is the main concern. The pressure control is caused by the camshaft code as far as I can tell, it's basically just the code putting the car into limp mode.

I've tried flashing back to the stock map, resetting adaptations again and removing MHD entirely from the car to no avail.

Wedge has been pretty good for me. Usually a few days to respond. Anywhere from a few days to a week for updated revision, if things are looking good with the logs. We are on V7 for my tune right now and he is starting to turn things up. These guys are definitely busy as they may be working on quite a few people's tunes as well as their own personal progression. Wedge has also been very helpful in identifying weak areas with my car that we have fixed.

Null0Nara,
Here's a thread with the exact same issue as you.. I recommend cleaning the sensor or replace and go from there... Not sure if it fixed the other OP's issue...https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1695420

Hi Tunafish,

Thanks for the link. That sounds exactly the same as what I have.

Not sure if it's just a coincidence that the errors came after resetting adaptations. I've been having some rough idle and stalling issues but no major codes. Wonder if the cam sensor was just on its way out and has just gone now.

I've got a new sensor coming this week, so will see how it goes. Might pull it and check connections when I clean it.

You should start log in 3rd about 2500RPM, sport m mode, petal all the way down, shift to 4th 6000 rpm while holding petal.... This will get you s better compassion than a 5th gear pull that won't have the data points than a standard log...

Plus nothing about that log is WOT.

How do I fix the timing issue?
Looks like you still have a boost leak - boost is several PSI below target and WGDC is quite high.

As for the correction, since you have new spark plugs maybe new coils should be the next course of action.

For your reference, here is what no boost leak looks like (in terms of WGDC, etc.)

https://datazap.me/u/marshessn/log-1...4734&mark=4692

ignore those that say "correction is caused by bad plugs" - I hear this tossed around all the time and it makes zero sense. correction is only caused by pre-ignition. period.

I sometimes see a little correction on maps for 91 even on 93. It depends on so much. Since you're using an OTS tune, I won't suggest "have your tuner advance intake and retard timing cams a little bit in this area" as a solution, but it certainly is one. I'd say for now, don't worry about it. It's one event on tip in (which can be moderately common) and cyl6 is involved in the other events. 5/6 can be particularly noisy. I'd say drive as is, watch those corrections, and if you feel they become an issue, send me your hwrev and i'll send you a tune (eventually).

Oscillations / Hesitations

Hello all. Flashed MHD Stage 2+ a few days ago. Like many users in this tread and elsewhere across the forums, I am having that constant speed stutter / oscillation / dip in power every 5-10 seconds. Feels like a gust of headwind hits the car almost.

The car has no present codes and this same issue occurred on the Stage 1+ map as well.

I've uploaded a log of me in third gear at around 20% throttle where I'm slowly accelerating while getting a bunch of these hesitations (it seemed to be more exaggerated on a slow incline rather than cruising, but is the same feel)

I've also uploaded a WOT log in the same link..

https://datazap.me/u/boosted135/log-...-3-14-15-25-26

Any insight would be great, would like to give MHD/Twisted Tuning a fair shot. If not, it's back to JB4 which currently runs stronger / boosts harder / and is without these issues.

I chose not go with MHD for the issues that people are having and the disturbing silence from the developers. I did try their logging which had issues and had to go thru CC to receive refund. Anyways good luck.
