Seriously? Your "master mechanic" can't figure it out with the car in front of him, but you expect a random 100 people on a forum to diagnose it, on a weekend, in less than 24 hours...?

Try having a little patience and don't insult everyone's intelligence if you expect to get some real help.

Burn the car and dump it in the ocean. Only way to be sure.

HAHA yea you are right, I do need to have some patience, it just feels like the mechanic is just throwing parts at it and im getting frustrated, and was hoping to bump it to the top of the list so that a fresh set of eyes would be able to see it and has already been through this problem

just replace the mosfets with better quality ones.

really, this is supposed to eliminate all the misfiring and not be as huge as the precision race works ones. well eliminate the misfires if you dont have a mosfet problem lol

Ok so now the sprocket replacement fixed the 2aa0 code. Then cylinder 1 is not firing. Checked the mosfets and they are fine in the dme. Now they are checking the pligs, checking the coils, and checking the injectors. This has been a long process. I know there are multiple things that could be happening for a cylinder to not misfire. Just seeing who else has been through this? Want to keep people up to date too

ok so it was a short in the DME there was a wire that was not going to ground like it was supposed to, so upgrading the dme to the msd81 and getting it coded with my car, sent it to a coder in louisiana, will let everyone know how it goes once i swap the msd81 for the old msd80

Yes.....I posted links to him in your other thread.

He is a genius and knows his stuff.

Cloned my DME including transfering my original VIN so that MHD still works no problem.

I had the same internal short problem with the DME.
