Can 6at make shift sounds like DCT?

I've watched every youtube video possible on the subject. They call it a cough, burp, or fart on DCT. Can I make my 6at make crack on shifts like this?

I'm sure someone could make a custom tune that would close the throttle in between shifts long enough to make the car "burble" between shifts......but not sure why you would want to do that, it's going to slow the car down.

my car kind of did it with just xhp and a louder exhaust 1-2-3 but not higher gears, but you could not hear it on the inside.

all the timing the car pulls on shifts sort of promotes it, but really its a little extra fueling during the shift that would make it

short answer, no, not really unless specifically tuned for it and most likely not really then either

I'm on a custom tune, but I can't say that I ever noticed the between gear flatulence now or on the stock tune.

Maybe if your tune has flat shift, where you don't lift throttle when you upshift. My E30 has it via Megasquirt, and it will shoot flames. But it also makes a lot of noise and blows out the muffler.

I bet if you put a 335is badge on the trunklid it would help...

So you are willing to possibly damage your motor in order to make your car pop during shifts like a DCT car?

I spent a bunch of time writing transmission tunes for my older Z4 E85 so I was really interested to know how my "new" E89 DCT shifted so quickly.

I initially thought the DME was closing the throttle but my logs showed otherwise. I found no throttle events during normal up-shifts. I'm Pretty sure, the faster shifts are made possible through better torque reduction management through more timing control and less inertia / rotating mass.

I do see some throttle closing from the boost management side of things but that's easily spotted.
