Decoupling Element for Injector: One-time Use Only?

Going to do an injector swap. Can I just swap over the old decoupling element to the new injector?

Note: I am not talking about the Teflon seal. I'm talking about this part: 13537564751

BMW says they are 1-time use. Might be able to get away reusing it if it isn't too old. I have some fall apart from the heat when I took them off though.

Definitely replace it. I just had an injector go bad and in the process, they found another injector to be leaking compression. The tech thinks at some point they were removed and reinstalled without replacing the decoupling element. As a result, the injector oscillated in the head as it leaked and has nearly ruined the tolerance required to seal. They might need to replace my entire head because of this!

I Changed one of my injectors (cylinder 3) and reused the decoupling element and didn't have any issue, no leak, nothing, that was a year ago. If yours looks good you should be able to reuse it. However if you don't use a decoupling element you will get misfires.

What if I bought the decoupler rings 6 months ago? Then would it be ok?
