They're designed for the stock turbo which is much different than the PS2.

Say you were running stage 2+ FBO on a stock turbo and then just upgraded to a PS2, wouldn't it just be easier for the PS2 to make the same boost without closing the wastegate as much?

Will everything still work properly though or will the DME still try and push the PS2 harder than it should because it still thinks it has the small stock turbo? Sorry if these are noob questions but trying to figure some stuff out.

18 psi from the stock turbo is a lot different than 18 from a PS2. The F series has a separate PS2 OTS map, but unfortunately we don't.

I don't think I know the full answer to this, but I have seen other forum members run an OTS map as a placeholder waiting for a custom tune. I think you should be okay because MHD tunes based on target engine load, not target boost, so it'll just be an unoptimized tune (missing out on 6k to redline), but you should let more experienced members chime in.

Anyone experience this with the new map update?
Flashed the 1.6 map and upped from 1+ to 2+. Put about 250km on the car since then, everything feels good except for a slight throttle oscillation when cruising between 100km/h -120km/h. It happened twice under these conditions: If I’m on flat ground (100+km/h) holding throttle input steady, the car feels like it’s almost choking (loss in power) and it’ll keep choking until you add or release throttle - I’ll try logging it next time I’m on the highway. Not the end of the world, just curious if it’s my car or if someone else has felt the same. |

Has anyone had issues with the Logging feature of MHD? I find that the Boost (PSI) log does not always work for me. Sometimes it works just fine and I get a good graph, but most of the time it shows that I am at 0.1 Boost the whole time. I was thinking about re-flashing the DME, not sure if that would help.

I am getting custom tuned maps from Twisted Tuning. I too feel oscillation at crusing speeds. The oscillation is the most pronouce on steady throttle input going up a hill. Hopefully this can be resolved down the road.

Can someone tell me what Coolant Target options you have on MHD? I only see Normal, Performance, & Track. I want to set the coolant to 95 degree Celsius but Normal is 105 Celsius and Performance is 85 Celcius (track is 80C). Shouldn't there be a sport option too?

Mhd v1.60, my available options are also: Stock, Performance & Track. Set to Performance & temp sits around 98 Celsius most of the time.
Before mhd it was between 110-120c! |

With the performance coolant target, my fan often blows 100% at stoplights to keep the coolant temperature low.
It's pretty annoying tbh. Did anyone else notice that? With the old sport coolant target, I only had it happen maybe once or twice a year. I guess my old radiator is struggling to keep the coolant temperature that low. Wish MHD added the option, not replace it.

I switched to Stage 2+ ACN91, reset load and vanos adaptations and the boost blew past the 16 psi target and went on to over 21 psi and closed the throttle instead. I'll be getting a custom tune at some point anyway but just don't understand why stage 2 would work fine with the PS2 but not stage 2+. |

Gotcha so manual transmission cars don't get the 95C option. Hopefully MHD adds a sport target coolant option so we can run sport mode all the time.

Ok, I figured out what is happening with my app. I will start the log, set the phone down, look at it a few minutes later and it has stopped, only logging a little bit. I must be accidentally hitting something and stopping it. Anyone run into this? What is the best way to do this?

My fan is definitely on more often since update!
Even when just cruising around but especially when coming to a stop or at lights etc Does this have any major negative affects? |
