Have not tried the Pirelli P0s
How do they perform?

Hard to say Socks, haven't really been doing much spirited driving, they seem quiet enough and are nice and responsive for the driving I've done

Rear end still doesn't hold in 1st or 2nd, but that's just a function of the vertical torque curve the car has

In reviews they don't score as highly as the PS4, but I'm not sure I'm good enough to know the difference

What have you found to be the best tire to hook straight off the line?

From what I've read, the PS4 always seems to come out on top for complete tyre tests

here's one example
https://www.whichcar.com.au/events/t...rformance-tyre

it doesn't have a straight line acceleration test, but the dry braking is probably going to be a pretty good indicator

the pricing on that link is all over the place, I got the PZeros for around 600-700 cheaper than the PS4 which is why I went with them, they're reportedly a bit softer, which gives them a good feel, and as I said I doubt I'm a good enough driver to know the diff between any of the top end tyres

New Wheels last week

Today
- new exhaust
- new knock sensors
- New firmer gearbox mounts
- Oil Change
- Gearbox oil change

Car sounds much deeper, I'll have to get used to it, it doesn't sound manic as it gets up in revs like it used to

Gearbox mounts are probably a bit firm, but I have some softer ones and the stock ones which were basically new, lucky they're easy to change

Exhaust looks good Hoper. What is the brand of the exhaust and what diameter are the pipes? Are there any mufflers between the diff and tailpipes? Does it have a drone at any rev range?

Looks like the empire performance one I have. If so, its definitely meaty type of deep sound down low.

Hey Mate,

I've been good!

I sprayed the engine cover with VHT wrinkle plus paint matches the powder coated chargepipe well.

Yes will have to swing by sometime to check your car out!

Hi Jard,
Yep that's the one, it's definitely a lower/meatier sound than the std exhaust

I'm not 100% sure I love the new sound yet, but it's growing on me, am considering getting an X pipe added as I think that might bring back some of the manic sound it used to have

yeah we'll def have to catch up, car is running well apart from chasing the timing pulls which are very unlikely to be detonation/pre-ignition/knock

Tim has pulled timing, added fuel and lowered boost without the engine behaving as you would expect if it was knock, also no other signs of knock, plugs are perfect

About to do some more research with Tim to see if we can figure it out, I want to be careful, but I also want to find out if this really is knock

I still have your little camera at my place as well, I need to give it back to you

Put some 7000k GP Thunder globes in for my corner lights as they were still the ugly yellow ones.

Also, changing over my engine bay vacuum hoses for some peace of mind. Interestingly, I made a discovery with my back vacuum solenoid vac out line.. It had a god damn rock or something in the middle of it! Check your lines people.

Don't mind the tear at the end I did when I was getting it off..

It does take some getting used to Hoper, I'll be interested to hear a sound clip if you go down the X pipe route as I thought about it as well. At the moment with my catless DP's it's loud enough. Almost too loud depending on who you talk to haha.
