Just a little bit longer and this car could have had AMG GT proportions |

You're preaching to the choir. Hopefully they will redeem themselves with the rumored in house A100.

Render looks good to me, it's already a good looking car and this just looks like a natural progression in the design direction. Good on Toyota for producing a car like this, I wish more manufacturers still did.

If this really turns out to be new bodywork on a nearly 10-year old chassis with a small bump in NA power...........I suspect it's going to be a sales failure.
I loved my '15 BRZ especially on the E85 tune. If the 20% displacement bump adds roughly the same torque/power and they keep it the same weight, or even a little less..........it would be just about a perfect. The torque dip on the FA20 made street driving a bit of a PITA on the street sometimes. And also keep room under the stock fenders for BEEF. With just the right offset you could stuff 18x10 with 265/35 under the stock fenders. I ran 18x9.5 with 255/35s..........Enkei made a special RPF1 specifically for that fitment, then many other manufacturers copied the specs. |

Japanese cars have taken a real down turn since the 90s.

Why because Toyota is offering a lightweight, manual, RWD, affordable sports car still in a world of automatics and SUVs? We should be happy that these kind of cars are still being built!
